SYNOPSIS

A three-way conversation, between two artists and the audience.

A project by the artist Alicia Soto in collaboration with Joao Lima.

Sobre cuerdas is a sound installation in performance format of two characters enveloped in a world of sound and movement whose leitmotif is to untie knots.

An emotional journey that may raise questions and will establish a crazy and creative conversation between the musician Joao Lima, the dancer choreographer Alicia Soto and the audience.

A unique and unrepeatable emotional sound experience that connects you with yourself.

The proposal for this guitar and dance concert has three pillars as its starting point, and its protagonists are: movement, live music, and the audience not as a listener or observer, but as

enter to become an active interpreter. A creation that is the subject of the new cycle of research that the artist Alicia Soto is developing based on the concept of “contemplation”.

Sobre cuerdas is a collective, sonic experience where the audience can experiment, let go, express their doubts, emotions, and hopes, fostering a connection with the group and boosting their creative and human potential.

Inspiration:

If we think about the idea of entanglement, an image crosses our mind: that of large knots present in a long rope that invite to be discovered.

For us, these knots, which appear in different forms, are irresistibly attractive and, at the same time, transport us to the striking nautical knots and, by extension, to the sea, whose sounds and movements have always served as a source of inspiration.
