SYNOPSIS
Morritz is a little girl about to turn five who wonders if she will ever be as brave as a heroine: “If that happened, I would do things that no one else can do! What’s more, I would never be afraid of anything or anything again!”
Morritz takes us on a journey through the corridor of fears, that space we sometimes have to traverse in the darkness of night, when we need to go from our bedroom to the bathroom to pee: “One small leap for humankind, but one giant leap for Morritz and his five years.” In that small but giant leap, Morritz discovers he can be brave, face his little monsters, and say goodbye to the heart-stealing bandits.
However, Morritz is not alone; a traveling companion will cross her path: Little Mons, as small as she is and just as afraid to cross that path: He, who fears the light of the moon, and Morritz, who fears the darkness.
"When you grow up, can you escape fear?"
They both discover that perhaps we cannot always escape our fears, but what is certain is that having the company of a friend can always help us face them.
Morritz and Little Mons is a poetic proposition, a visual journey; a story as real and fantastic as fireflies that, despite being so small, are able to illuminate an entire night.
