MY DEATH IN LOVE SYNOPSIS

Javier Amberes, a Spanish lawyer specializing in gender violence who lives in Buenos Aires, confronts silence and an inner struggle during the Covid-19 lockdown. Loss, heartbreak, justice, isolation, and loneliness form the backdrop of conflict for this character who teeters between life and death.

"My Death in Love" is a fictional yet personal story, a story that isn't mine, but is more me than ever. It arose as inspiration from the Argentine tango song "Balada para mi muerte" by Astor Piazzolla and Horacio Ferrer. Added to this are my own shadows, which become tools for creating this existential monologue, brought to life through the expression of the inner body, action, and words.



MEMENTO SINOPSIS

Memento es una re interpretación autobiográfica de la relación entre dos amigos que ante un desenlace trágico producido por uno de ellos, el otro representa un recuerdo amargo de ese momento tormentoso. Memento es cambio, una evolución donde descubre que algo en él ha cambiado y encuentra la paz. Mostrando, a través de la danza urbana, la danza contemporánea y el teatro físico, como asimila y forja esa aceptación aun siendo vulnerable a un estado depresivo.
