SYNOPSIS
What is the value of a word?
Our stage version of "The Footprint" focuses on the multifaceted value of words. On their often-maligned worth and, conversely, on their power. As a legacy of traditional English theater, lies and appearances play a crucial role in our work. Here, nothing is real, nothing is what it seems, or perhaps everything is what it appears to be.
Can we play with power?
In a stark game between two individuals, we project, through a three-dimensional space, two reflections of reality. We show it and confront it. There, our individuals clash, like two great orators, in a crusade that will lead them to their own fate, to the unfortunate fate of those who cannot escape their destiny.
Andrew Wyke, a renowned writer, welcomes Milo Tindle, an out-of-work actor, to his home. They have arranged to meet there to discuss the divorce the writer must grant his wife so that she can marry her lover (Milo). Through a series of interwoven games, both men delve into a world rife with controversy, where desire, need, secrecy, pleasure, ambition, violence, fear, ruthlessness, and pain intertwine on different levels, reflecting what we need to achieve what we want.
