SYNOPSIS
In the early 1600s, Quevedo criticized the corrupt practices of unscrupulous ministers, magistrates, and bankers.
"Lying is a bad profession, but it's a well-dressed one; that's what lies have in a tailor's work, they clothe the one who tells them; and even if the liar aspires to a position, he is well rewarded."
His writings were taken to jail for him; we were made to put on a show.
Because four centuries later, we haven't changed that much.
