SYNOPSIS
In YOUNG HAMLET, a detective investigates the Hamlet case: the events and murders that occurred at Elsinore Castle. To develop his investigation, he inhabits the skin of each and every one of the protagonists. He transforms into Hamlet, his mother, the ghost of his father, his uncle Claudius, Ophelia, Laertes, a gravedigger… using Shakespeare's words and verses to do so.
On the stage a series of objects, evidence for the investigation: Hamlet's uncle's throne and crown, a wedding dress, a mirror, letters and dried flowers for Ophelia, a sword, a vial and a skull.
A jazz pianist accompanies the detective throughout the play, accentuating the action and freely transporting the music from the 17th century to jazz.
