SYNOPSIS
Taking Homer's "The Odyssey" as a starting point, Knuk Theatre intends to draw an analogy between the journey of the Greek hero Ulysses and the contemporary hero: the father, the single mother, the young student, or the professional adult, who for different reasons (war, misery, human rights violations, job insecurity) decide to leave behind their country of origin, their roots, their home and venture into the inhospitable and hostile journey to "the unknown".
The differences between heroes of yesteryear and those of today, although it may seem unbelievable, are not so far apart, and that is why we are interested in giving a voice to our contemporary hero/heroine.
Likewise, as we know, the hero's journey consists of countless adventures, misadventures, challenges of all kinds, moments of uncertainty and unease, and spaces of such instability that one could say that solid ground disappears from under the feet of the migrant.
We ourselves (with all due respect and acknowledging the differences in our "type of journey") have been and continue to be migrants. Therefore, we want to do our part, in the only way we know how: through art.ARTISTIC CREDITS
