SYNOPSIS
FLAMENCO Futuro is a work in which the performer works with biomechanical software that represents movement on the screen. The piece explores the relationship between the human body, dance, its learning, and technology.
How can this technology transform certain elements in learning flamenco dance? The only certainty is movement. Through it, the aim is to create a space for exploration and creativity, analyzing the Flamenco Decalogue proposed by one of the most innovative figures in flamenco dance, Vicente Escudero.
In this work, the performer dances with freedom, a sense of avant-garde and self-criticism, trying to lead the public to experience an aesthetic and plastic experience, without mystifications.
FLAMENCO Futuro connects the first written codification of flamenco dance with the possibilities offered by present-day technology and its future applications. All of this is conveyed through a hybrid body, a body that navigates the lines between flamenco and dance.
