SYNOPSIS
In Comediantes, a group of young performers stage four of Calderón de la Barca's interludes, adapted by Charles Delgadillo, blending an indeterminate historical setting with contemporary themes: La pedira, El convidado, El dragoncillo, and La casa de los linajes. Nine performers and forty-two characters navigate a dramatic structure brimming with rhythmic, dizzying, and brilliant action. Add to this the verses, humor, and irony of Charles Delgadillo, and a staging that constantly reveals and enhances theatrical artistry and the students' combative and committed energy. The result is the Final Workshop for the Acting Specialization at the ESAD of Extremadura.
