SYNOPSIS
Drinking coffee is a ritual in itself. It has its own protocol; a set of values that people in a society know and respect, because drinking coffee, or "coffee time," is already part of a collective memory, a socio-political legacy. On a personal level, drinking coffee awakens other memories. In this work, the creators have focused especially on two types of memory: Physical/mental memory, which awakens the body and immediately affects how one experiences the day, and Physio-emotional memory; an emotional memory accompanied by a social connection of drinking coffee with a special person or in a particular situation. The piece is inspired by situations that represent and resonate in a woman's daily life. These situations are reflected in a series of visual, musical, and moving images.
Coffee as the center of female existence; a beverage, a meeting place; or coffee as an image associated with the home on one hand and the outside world on the other, with society and memory. Inbal and Adva are artists, mothers, friends, and partners. Through independent pieces, or duets, they search for their own voice in the noises of everyday life.
