SYNOPSIS
Four elderly women, filled with resentment and bitterness, gather at the wake for Nazaria Alba Montenegro's husband on a stormy night. The atmosphere is conducive to conversation, and memories, heartbreaks, secrets, and hidden hatreds surface, unleashing a torrent of resentment.
Hatreds, secrets, and desires will surface during a stormy night. From the murder of a baby to the death of a cat... from infidelities committed fifty years ago to deceptions of the day before... 'Atra bilis' is a farce that combines elements of carnivalesque grotesqueness and demonic and spectral grotesqueness to create "picturesquely" grotesque monsters in a spectral atmosphere that seems to herald the imminent Apocalypse.
