SYNOPSIS
In a warehouse devoid of goods, nothing is more legitimate than to think that the stock is the employees themselves; in this case, Lord Linus and Nin. And if the employees are relegated to the status of merchandise, we are faced with a clear perversion: the "laws of the market" come to prevail over them (instead of labor law—created with the intention of ensuring their dignity).
A manager about to retire and the young man destined to replace him share five days. The passage of time on a malfunctioning clock, the awkward relationship between these two strangers, the desperation of waiting, the generational conflict, and the weight of a great lie.
Despite its apparent simplicity, this text presents us with some essential questions. These are fundamentally about human dignity. We face an impasse that can be seen as either purely philosophical or somewhat more deterministic and pragmatic: Does work dignify human beings?
