SYNOPSIS
“Now” is a contemporary circus performance for young and adult audiences, created with forms of narration and body expression, which are based on contemporary dance and gestural theatre.
Through the relationships generated with the elements Wood and Slate, “Now” explores identity, rootedness, and transformation through symbolic objects that take on a life of their own on stage. These elements represent the connection with nature and identity, human fragility and the desire for expansion, proposing a dialogue between the living and the inert, and a journey of poetic introspection.
We experience the desire for evolution, the necessary quest to find our own identity and connection to the social environment. We explore and enact this path through the disciplines of juggling, handstands, acrobatics, and object manipulation, generated from elements and their transformation, with a unique and personal process of research and technical development.
The audience is both spectator and interpreter; throughout "Now" a direct relationship is established with them, breaking the fourth wall and making them an active and necessary participant in the development of the piece.
