SYNOPSIS
In the last chapter of Joyce's Ulysses, Mr. Leopold Bloom, afterAfter wandering around Dublin for twenty hours, he returns home in order to go to bed withHis wife. Then he lies down and falls asleep. It is during Mr. Bloom's sleepthat his wife, Molly, reveals facets of his personality and his own.
It is a torrential, fragmented soliloquy, with uninterruptedly connected phrases.through associations of erotic thoughts, dreams, and fantasies that plague thiswoman during insomnia. The question is debated whether or not it is afeminist discourse. We are primarily interested in addressingThis metaphor of Penelope on the existential plane.
